Beware The Book

Canela roams the desolate alleys of a tainted city in search of a powerful treasure; a book filled with inscriptions of unfathomable dark magic that has remained sealed since the dark ages. As a follower of an underground cult, she has been tasked with retrieving the book for her masters.

Following the clues to finding her treasure, Canela breaks into an abandoned building and scours through every possible place it could be hidden. To her joy, she finds a secret compartment and within it lays the book. Canela grabs the book and admires it in her hands. All she has to do now is hand the book to her masters and keep it closed until they have it.

But Canela is overwhelmed with curiosity. Untold power in the palms of her hand. She opens the book. Dark magic leaks from the pages, affecting her mind and body as she feels the touch of the book’s power. She tries to fight it and seal the book shut to continue her mission, but it’s too late. The darkness has been released. It wants mortals to toy with, and unfortunately, Canela is the only person nearby…
